Jill Morris, PhD
Dr. Morris is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Kansas Medical Center and serves as the Program Officer for the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center Pilot Grant Program and the Chair of the KU Alzheimer's Disease Center Biospecimen Committee. She earned her Ph.D. in Molecular and Integrative Physiology (2011) and her bachelors' degree in Biochemistry (2006). Her laboratory investigates the link between energy metabolism and cognitive decline using translational approaches. Dr. Morris has received continuous funding from the National Institutes of Health since 2009 for projects involving the relationship between energy metabolism and neurodegeneration. Her primary interest is in the etiology of Alzheimer's Disease, specifically focusing on the interplay between lifestyle and genetic factors.
